The Sassyracs are a dance krewe based in New Orleans, we bring the sass to the streets! We strive to be inclusive to all, proudly dancing with several carnival krewes, parading throughout the year and supporting our community.

Inspired by the classic New Orleans cocktail, the Sazerac, the Sassyracs were founded in 2021 and danced in our first parade with Krewe of Boo in October, 2021. Since then we’ve become a crowd favorite with our fun-loving moves & attitude!

In both float and walking parades we march with a live DJ, we love DJ Fayard, he keeps us dancing in the streets!

Parades & Partnerships

The Sassyracs annually parade with the Krewe of Muses, Krewe of Tucks, Krewe of Alla, Knights of Sparta, Lyons Carnival Club, Souther Decadence, Krewe of Boo, New Orleans Holiday Parade, and Mid-Summer Mardi Gras.

We believe in supporting & giving back to our community and are involved in a number of philanthropic activities. Every year we co-host the Summer Blood Drive with the Rolling Elvi and The Blood Center, as well as supporting local organizations, including Lift Louisiana, Girls on the Run, and Costal Treecycling.

We love working with and supporting local creators & businesses, including collaborating with Coquetry, Isle of View, PolyPagie, Running With Scissors and creating custom glitter blends with Pixie Dust Biodegradable Glitter and Elektra Cosmetics.
