We are always open to new Shakers, our great handlers, this is a great way to get to know the krewe and be part of parades!

Dancers

Dancer membership is open to adults of all genders and backgrounds. As a Sassyrac dancer you’ll be part of an inclusive and friendly krewe that loves to shake their stuff!
Follow our socials (Instagram | Facebook) for updates on dancer recruitment. We also encourage you to consider being a Shaker in the 2025-2026 season if you aren’t ready to be a dancer or missed the recruitment session – it’s a great way to get to know the krewe!
Shakers
The Sassyracs are always accepting new Shakers – our wonderful handlers and volunteers who provide support to the krewe at parades. Without them we wouldn’t be able to bring the sass!
Shakers provide support during parades, this may include crowd control, hydrating dancers, and on the spot logistics support.
As well as love and gratitude from the dancers, you’ll get free drinks on the day and it’s a great way to take part in a parade!
